Our Mission
LEAP into the future!
LEAP (Life-science Entrepreneurship and Plus) is a closely connected and collaborative community featuring aspiring scientists and scholars, entrepreneurs and investors, professionals, and industry leaders.
As a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, LEAP dedicates to inform, inspire and support our members and peers through seminars, lectures, workshops, and social events. Originated in Silicon Valley, LEAP built a diverse and passionate entrepreneurial network. And continues to nurture the next level of innovations and creations in the life-science industry!
As part of our mission, LEAP is also committed to giving back to the community. During the Covid-19 pandemic, LEAP took action from the very beginning to aid and support healthcare workers, neighboring communities, and families with medical equipment, prevention and sanitizing supplies, etc.
We want to extend our invitation to all people who share the same vision to join LEAP and our mission. Future awaits!
LEAP是一个总部位于硅谷的非营利组织，我们致力于推动生命科学及相关领域的创新、创业和合作。通过举办各类研讨会、公益课程和社交活动，我们建立了一个科研工作者、创业者、投资人、专业人士和行业领袖高效沟通交流和合作的平台。我们也致力于公共健康领域的公益事业，包括在新冠疫情期间为中美医护人员筹捐防护物资等。
21世纪将是生命科学的世纪。这是上个世纪的预言。进入21世纪已近20年，科研的步伐不断加快，新技术、新疗法层出不穷，我们离生命的奥秘越来越近，顽疾的攻克曙光频现，生命科学已成为全球科技创新的核心，并伴随着计算机科学、工程学等其他学科的进步而快速发展。愿景逐渐清晰。可与此同时，诸多潜力还远未发挥。
一曰创业创新。创新与创业愈加密不可分，相互促进。优秀科研成果的转化，除了成熟的技术本身，还需很多：团队组建、项目管理、知识产权、监管合规、融资谈判、领导和沟通等等。LEAP致力于让这一过程更加顺畅。
二曰学术交流。创新的重要源泉是交流。这不仅包括生命科学各细分领域之间的互通，更离不开计算机、工程学、大数据、人工智能等学科的协同。LEAP将以全新的形式，让跨领域、跨学科交流与合作更加高效。
三曰社会公益。科学的进步和社会发展息息相关，尤其生命科学直接关系到人们的健康和生活质量。无论是通过靠谱的科普，结对互助，还是社会创新项目，LEAP希望让全社会，尤其边缘社群，共享前沿科技成果。
2019年6月，LEAP正式组建，并诚邀生命科学及相关领域的有识之士，共同实现上述愿景。
